This summer, we are hitting the virtual stage with our Youth Performing Arts Camps! Join Kassidy Sharp, our beloved CCTA Camp Director and Ms. Ann our Musical Director as our programming moves online. Our live, interactive youth camps will feature musical instruction, dance classes, and interactive theatrical workshops such as improvisation, pantomime, character development, and more.
Each week-long session will take place for 2-hours a day electronically. Campers will be constantly interacting with our instructors and their peers in small and large groups as they create mini and large scale performances! Our camp will culminate in a revue-style, electronic, musical performance.
At the end of the week, families will also be able to film their camper’s performances, send it to us at CCTA, and receive an electronic copy of their week’s revue.

Virtual Intensive – Broadway Edition
Since our students cannot take the stage this summer, we decided the best way to make up for the loss of this experience was to bring the experience of the stage to you. We are elated to announce we will be hosting a week-long virtual program where participants are able to learn a song that will be edited and recorded resulting in a performance that families and the community can enjoy. In addition to daily dance and voice workshops, the real gem of this program will be a daily Master Class taught by current Broadway Stars, even a few Tony Nominees! Each day will feature a new Broadway performer who will lead different workshops and Q&As. Speakers include Brittney Johnson who was in “Wicked” and “Les Mis” and Jess Leprotto who was in “Newsies,” and “Cat,” Additional Guest Speakers have been cast members of “Legally Blonde”, “Beetlejuice”, “Hadestown”,”Be More Chill”, “Mary Poppins”, “The Lion King”, “Spongebob Squarepants”, and many more.just to name a few.
The Virtual class will be co Directed by Brynn Williams a Broadway Actress and former CCTA student. Gerald Jordan will also be co-directing. Gerald is our Programs and Education Director. Todd Twinings will join the group as the Musical Director who currently works with our Young Columbians group.
Our new Virtual Intensive takes the best of our previous Senior and Junior Intensive and combines the experience. Students aged 12-18 are encouraged to participate! Scholarships are available.
