Kids On Broadway

saturday

Join Junie B. on her first day of first grade, where many changes are in store: Junie’s best friend Lucille has found new best friends – and Junie B. makes friends with Herb, the new kid at school. While in Mr. Scary’s class Junie has trouble reading the blackboard – and she may need glasses. Add in a friendly cafeteria lady, an intense kickball tournament, and a “Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal,” and first grade has never been more exciting.

“Kids on Broadway” was created to let children ages 6-12 experience what is it like to put on a show. Classes will meet for 11 weeks and work with a director, musical director, and choreographer to mount a full-scale production for their families and friends. They will learn basic stage techniques, and the use the tools given to them to become a great actor and performer. This is an opportunity to be creative, gain confidence, and learn the values of teamwork and friendship. Every child will receive a chance to participate in singing, dancing, and acting!

With Santa’s permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity. Faced with the harsh reality that his father is on the naughty list and that his half-brother doesn’t even believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas.
